CHANGE CHALLENGE

READY TO MOVE A MUSCLE AND CHANGE A THOUGHT?
THEN YOU'RE READY FOR A CHANGE CHALLENGE!

 

When stress strikes, it’s more challenging (and more imperative) to make the time to take care of ourselves.  Notice I said ‘MAKE’ the time as you will never ‘FIND’ the time.

Take this challenge over the next 30 days and you will find how much more of a priority you are.

Challenge:
  • Get a brown paper bag or pretty hat box
  • On a sheet of paper number 1-25 and next to each number write one activity that you find relaxing and enjoyable BUT you rarely do because you don’t MAKE time
  • Here are a few examples: call a friend, get a manicure, go to bed 1 hour earlier than normal, read, create a new playlist, take a walk, meditate, cook, dance, look through a photo album – that’s 10!
  • Note:  Be sure to pick activities that vary in time and commitment as you may not have an entire hour to complete it.
  • Cut the activities into pieces and place them in the bag
  • Place the bag in a location where you will see it regularly (like on a kitchen counter!)
  • Go to the bag at least 3x a week a pick out an activity (if the activity isn’t feasible in the moment, pick again)

Make this a commitment as you would any commitment you’d make to a friend.  Just because this time is for you, doesn’t make it ok to flake.  The more you make yourself a priority the more you will be able to make healthy decisions
